Jeanya Charles is a passionate representational oil painter who aspires to capture the color and light in front of her, drawing inspiration from everyday scenes and the nuances of human emotion.

Jeanya’s artistic journey started with studies at the Museum of Fine Art and Massachusetts College of Art and Design, studying under the guidance of mentors such as Gerry Hoag and Catherine Kehoe.

She is a long time member of the Art Students League of Denver and over the years has studied with various renowned Colorado artists shaping her distinct style and vision.

Jeanya’s art has garnered recognition and acclaim, with accolades including an Honorable Mention at the Oil Painters of America Summer Showcase and the prestigious George Nick Prize from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Notable exhibits include her participation in the Portrait Society of America’s Select 50 and her gold medal win at the Oil Painters of America National Juried Exhibition of Traditional Oils.
