Water lily ponds in summer are a kaleidoscope of color and a picture of elegance and serenity. Every morning as the golden rays of the sun move along the water the buds open revealing their radiant colors. Each week, a dedicated few can be found tending to these aquatic gardens. Amidst the tranquil beauty of the pond, the caretakers appear in harmony with the surroundings. I created large paintings below based on multiple studies on location during summer months.
