Description: This 3-hour portrait drawing workshop invites students to explore the structure and planes of the head. We will learn how to establish a likeness by prioritizing larger forms over smaller details, and how to construct a portrait by understanding the relationships between the different regions of the face. The skills developed in this workshop will provide foundation for portrait drawing and painting, while also deepening students’ understanding of how light interacts with the form of the model.
